MOSCOW, Apr 10 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Lukoil has postponed the start of development of the D33 deposit on the Baltic Sea to 2025 from 2024 in order to soften the geopolitical risks, affiliate Lukoil-Kaliningradmorneft said on Monday.
"Compensating measures are being fulfilled on the D33 project to soften the risks connected with the geopolitical situation,” Lukoil-Kaliningradmorneft said in an annual report.
“Reengineering of the drilling platform facilities, equipment and materials is being carried out with contractor Rosetti Marino Project. Agreements are signed with Russian contractors, suppliers of equipment and materials in the framework of imports replacement (by Russia and the friendly states)."
The company earlier signed a deal with Rosetti Marino Project, affiliate of Italy's Rosetti Marino S.p.A. on engineering, equipment and materials purchase, and construction of drilling platform facilities.
